Underage child: PIMI vs PIMO parents rights
by psyco ini am a pimo, inactive, parent of an underage child.
i was wondering what rights i have in regards to avoid that my child will be baptized when still underage, not having read the entire bible and before being able to clearly evaluate all the alternatives and consequences (like it happened to me) whereas the other pimi parent has all the rights to do it.
any experiences about children in a pimi vs pimo parents situation?

It's like the Hotel California. You can check out, but you can never leave.

the cognitive dissonance is just breath taking.
i over heard this comment at a relatives family dinner the other night.

I don't know what 'they' have with this thing on facial hair,,,but they just have fits with any hair past the corner of your mouth no matter what. Drives them nuts to this very day.

Postate;
"My simple answer to this kind of issue is that if a child is not old enough to say NO and quit they are not old enough to say YES to being baptized"
This is exactly why this organization HAS to go down!!!!!!

"Old light from 2 years ago. That's why they are having "be patient" theme for this year's convention "
And,,it is now 17 years on since the 2006 "Deliverance at Hand" Convention theme.

You hear rank and file repeatedly claim 'we have entered the GT'.
Now, here lies the problem should GB pronounce such a claim.
They can never go back, that should the GB claim ,, ''the beginning of the GT'' can only happen....and happen one time only. There is no going back. Ever!!
That's where I think the Borg is stuck. They've often proclaimed ''from a message of warning'' to a '''message of judgement''. The Borg is stuck in that they can't go to a message of ''judgement''. They can't go back.

Does Jehovah have a visible organization?
by Vanderhoven7 inwhy do jehovah’s witnesses say they are god’s organization so matter of factly as though such an audacious claim is an undisputable fact?
here is how one person sees this claim.. "the entire jehovah’s witness religion is founded on unsubstantiated hubristic claims which are continually repeated until they are assumed by adherents to be a proven fact.. never is this more evident than when the beliefs of a jehovah’s witness are successfully challenged.
the more compelling the evidence against them, the more they resort to repeating their convictions with a sense of insistence, as if they are chanting a mantra.. confirmation bias is prevalent in all religious ideologies, but particularly with jehovah’s witnesses.

A large majority of JW's were baptized under the premise of the 1914 generation theology.
Only to have that debunked in the mid-1990's to a new understand of 'generation'. Those who were 'dunked' before the 1995 generation change it seems the Borg was just ''hmf, too bad just accept it or else''

things shelved, not looked into because of group think
by enoughisenough inhere are some things i never really believed the jw taught...i just didn't really examine it closely.
i shelved it, so to speak, thinking no one is perfect and they know more than me...if i ever thought about it at all.. i never believed that only jws would be spared at armageddon.
i never believed the where in james, you went to the elders to confess being spiritually sick-always thought that referred to a real illness.

Yes that "conditional'' love fades rather quick when you start not showing-up or participating in FS or alike.
As born-ins, it really sucks absorbing it all in from birth trusting adults whom you believe have your best interest. You really have no choice,,,,trying to explain things to peers and and schoolmates which you can't explain because they're forced on you.

'I would be up the creek without a paddle if I hadn’t trusted my own instincts!'
You wouldn't be 'spiritual' enough if you trusted your own instincts and would never have gotten invited anywhere.
BUT;
KUDOs to you and others and,,, hats off to you for following your gut instincts and looking after 'you' first!!!! And not listening to peer pressure from others in the Borg and their 'toxic' influence.
Full marks!!
